My priority as a health care provider is to take the proper time to listen and establish a relationship with each one of my patients. I know the journey to health is unique for each person, and I believe Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have the ability to heal on many different levels. With an open heart, in a supportive environment, my experience has taught me that every person can become more aware of their bodies and find a more optimal state of health through Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM.) As a practitioner, that is my intention and my wish for you.

Danielle received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine  (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon. She has additional board certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine and has the ability to prescribe custom Chinese herbal formulas for her patients.

Danielle is  board certified on the national level by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  And board certified in the state of Oregon by the Oregon Medical Board. She is a member of the Oregon Association of Acupuncturist (OAA),  The American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM)  and The American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA).

End of Life Care - Grief work

In 2018 Danielle completed a Hospice and Palliative care mentorship and continues to pursue her healing work with End of Life patients.  During Winter 2024, she also completed course work and certification as an End of Life Doula and looks forward to educating her community regarding all aspects of End of Life care and advanced care planning. It has been her honor and privilege to be of support as our loved ones cross over into death.

Danielle is humbled by this spiritual experience and grateful Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can ease the fear and pain of death and dying.

When not caring for patients, Danielle enjoys a lifestyle of being active in the beautiful surroundings of her new home in the Columbia Gorge, residing in Hood River, Oregon. Danielle always  looks forward with immense gratitude to serving her Portland and Hood River patients with her heart in her hands. She continues to enjoy her morning meditation practice, hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking and jumping in cold rivers.  Danielle has added quieter hobbies such as gardening, birding, reading, writing and foraging for tincture ingredients. Going out for delicious meals in PDX and cooking with her son, Harry and his partner Chris is still her absolute favorite!

I began seeing Danielle a couple of years ago, and since have returned for various treatments tending to muscular, immune, and emotional issues. A notable attraction that brings me back to Danielle in particular, is that she meets me with inquiry, compassion and a personal presence that is illuminated in the way she practices this medicine as a living, changing, and beautiful art form.

Our sessions have proven to be insightful insofar as seeing related facets to the work we are doing, comfortable, with respect to the environment and our communication, and ultimately, quiet, in such a way, that I carry this quiet with me into my daily life. I consider myself fortunate and very thankful to be able to work with such a wonderful person as her.
